JENNY KASTNER– TRENT ALUMNI MAGAZINE

Gallery artist Jenny Kastner was featured on the cover of the Trent Alumni Spring 2015 issue! The issue also includes an article which talks about Jenny’s journey throughout her career as an artist. The article also features an artist’s statement about how Jenny’s time at Trent University has helped her to hone her creative direction, and inspire her art practice. We are so proud of you Jenny! CHRISTIAN BERGERON– ACCEPTANCE INTO JURIED SHOW AT COPLEY SOCIETY OF ART

Christian Bergeron‘s painting “Deuce Provence” was selected from nearly 200 submissions  for the Copley Society of Art’s Summer Member’s show titled As Expected!  We congratulate Christian on his achievement, and are not the least bit surprised that his painting was selected for this exhibit.

Christian’s exhibit here at the Gallery on the Lake will be continuing until July 24th. If you have not had a chance to come see this exhibit please come by for a visit! ART CAMP FOR KIDS WITH BEVERLY SNEATH

Our annual ART CAMP FOR KIDS is nearly filled up! It is set to run from July 28th to 30th from 9:30AM to 3:30PM and supplies as well as lunch and snacks are provided! The class is geared towards kids ages 6 to 13 and is $145 for one child and $115 per child if two or more children from the same family sign up. Our instructor Beverly Sneath will lead the kids through several lessons including watercolor painting, sculpture and more! Sign up soon before we are all filled up! About Beverly Sneath:

Beverly Sneath grew up in rural Ridgeville, becoming a self developed artist establishing her artistic themes of family, nature and serenity. Watercolour is her favored medium in subjects including portraits, florals, landscapes and nature portraits, animals and ethereal fairies, but she also produces acrylic paintings, bronze sculpture, silk paintings and hand built pottery. With many years of teaching experience, she offers classes and workshops in watercolour, acrylic and drawing for adults as well as classes for children in schools and libraries.
