NEW EXHIBIT BY QUEBEC ARTIST CHRISTIAN BERGERON

We are thrilled to announce the opening of a new exhibit at the gallery this Saturday, June the 27th titled “Saveur Internationale”by Christian Bergeron. This promises to be a very exciting exhibition of international caliber, showing never before seen pieces from Bergeron’s lat two years of travel. Bergeron will be making the trip to Buckhorn all the way from Charlevoix, Quebec for the reception and opening this Saturday June the 27th, and will be at the gallery from 1PM to 4PM. This is an excellent, and rare opportunity to meet Bergeron in person, right here in Buckhorn!

The paintings in the exhibit highlight some of his excursions, from Romantic Paris, where he rented a studio for the past 2 years, to inspiring Provence, where he experimented with softer tones dictated by the spring light. Christian also travelled to the Côte d’Azur, Spain (home of Dali), Rome, and New York, following in the steps of great painters. He spent last winter in Rome, away from the harsh weather of our country, to paint outside again.

About Christian Bergeron

Christian has more than forty years of painting experience. His works can be found in the finest corporate and private collections from coast to coast in Canada, the United States, and several European countries. At a very early age he demonstrated an aptitude for figurative art. Self taught, he developed his art under the influence of the great painters in Quebec, such as Francesco Lacurto, for whom he was a student and model. Over a ten year period, he developed and perfected his personal style, named “prismatic”. Prismatic gives another dimension to the painting by increasing the effect of light at different angles, producing spectacular perspectives.

We look forward to seeing you at Bergeron’s exhibit reception this Saturday!

We have great news for cottagers and seasonal visitors to the area who may not have made it out to visit us yet this season– we are extending our first two exhibits of the season throughout the month of July! “Reflections of Light” By Cyril Cox is on display in our art school, and “Backcountry Vistas” by Lloyd Wilson will be on display in our cafe.
